Joy Paris is a mental health counselor, musician, songwriter, writer, and artist. She has always loved the arts, but realized that the music, dance, and theater world can become extremely competitive and emotionally draining. Once she started studying counseling, she learned to see all the arts she loved through a healing lens. She saw how it healed her own trauma and how it could help heal others. Mostly, she realized that creativity is not a competition, it's not scarce, and it is for absolutely everyone. She is currently working as a Clinical Mental Health Counselor and pursuing training as a Registered Expressive Arts Therapist. She owns a private practice in Bethel, Maine called White Mountain Expressive Arts. When not working, Joy spends her time hiking, reading, playing with her 3 beautiful dogs, practicing yoga, and investing in genuine relationships while living in one of the most beautiful places in the world.
